I like to think of creativity as the core of the human experience, and use it as my guiding force in this world.
It is just one of those things that makes you truly feel the essence of your being. When you channel it, there's nothing else, just you and the medium of your choice. And as a big fan of creativity, I also am a big advocate for all things creative.
Understandably, I hate boxes. I refuse to believe that the fine details of a person or creation, can be confined to a term that's the be-all end-all. It is merely nihilism masquerading as intellect and statistics. The world is made beautiful with the little quirks hiding beside majoritarian mundaneness.
I also believe we were meant to move. Naturally, I leave no chance to run, play or dance. To see what your body is capable of, how does it flow and how far it can go, is one of life's greatest pleasures. I tend to not take it for granted, even though the system we live in constantly works against our ability to move.
In all of this, exploring human connections is the key. What good is a personality if it doesn't lighten up someone else's day? What good are material indulgences if they condition us for isolation? One of the biggest proponents of societal misery in modern times is just the fact that not enough people are leaving their rooms. In the face of this epidemic, how can you not want to punch it in the teeth by getting the fuck out and being around others? "But matching schedules with friends is difficult!!", that's why you'll find me at the movie theatre, even if it means going alone, or in parties raging with a bunch of strangers I met some moments ago; familiarity shouldn't be the crutch that stops you from experiencing life in its absence.
But philosophy aside, I like all kinds of music, nu-metal(shoutout Linkin Park), edm, dubstep, hip-hop/rap(shoutout Eminem, Mike Shinoda, Lupe Fiasco, Dave, Kendrick), classical, vintage bollywood(O mere dil ke chain is an all time fav), soundtracks, rock; nothing is out of bounds(except for techno, too bland for my taste, bring back the golden age of bigroom/electro/progressive house music!!). I'm deeply moved by art, would probably be one of those kids in a trip to the museum who'd stand in front of a painting for an hour. I'm a sucker for horror movies/shows that are more about the plot and mysteries than the jumpscares(on that note, watch from). I also like to write and have a deep rooted love for literature ever since I read The Merchant of Venice in high school. Attack On Titan is one of my favourite pieces of fiction.
I have been living in Bengaluru for almost three years now and I love to go to What's in a Name? for karaoke every now and then(You could catch me performing Numb/Encore if you happen to be there on thurs/sat).
Oh also, I'm a music producer and songwriter when I'm not juggling around engineering, design and product at work.
